Janet Eremenko is a lifelong Calgarian dedicated to making life more affordable for families. With her degree in International Development from the University of Guelph, Janet’s education has been focused on politics and public administration. For more than a decade, Janet worked in social policy and community development, with a priority to address the root causes of poverty in Calgary and across the province.
Prior to becoming the MLA for Calgary-Currie, Janet worked in fund development for a national charity that supports newcomers with low-interest loans to bridge their foreign credentials and restart their careers in Canada.
Janet wants all Calgarians to have strong, reliable healthcare, a resilient jobs economy and parks and mountain landscapes that are preserved for many generations to come. Janet is a passionate advocate for housing affordability, support for locally-owned and -operated businesses, financial security and equity in our health, education and justice systems.
